How to enable, disable view or delete Internet cookies

Internet Explorer

  • Deleting Cookies
    1. Open Internet Explorer.
    2. Click the Tools IE tools in the upper right-hand corner
    3. Move your mouse cursor over Safety, and then click Delete browsing history
    4. Make sure there is a check in the box next to Cookies
    5. Click the Delete button
  • Viewing Internet Explorer cookies stored on your hard drive
    1. Open Internet Explorer
    2. Click the Tools IE tools in the upper right-hand corner.
    3. Click Internet Options
    4. In the window that appears, under the General tab click the Settings button.
    5. In the window that appears, under the Temporary Internet Files tab, click View files
  • Disable or Enable Cookies
    1. Open Internet Explorer
    2. Click the Tools IE tools in the upper right-hand corner
    3. Click Internet Options.
    4. Under the Privacy tab, locate the Settings section.
    5. Move the slider up or down to adjust your acceptance level for cookies

Google Chrome

  • View and Delete cookies stored on hard drive
    1. Open Google Chrome
    2. Click on (3 dots) on right top corner of the browser window
    3. In the dropdown menu that appears, select “Settings”
    4. At the bottom of the new window, click “Show advanced settings”
    5. Under the “Privacy” section, click the “Content Settings” button.
    6. In the “Content Settings” window under Cookies, click the “All cookies and sites data button.
    7. Delete cookies individually or click the “Remove all” button.
    8. Click Done.
  • Disable or Enable Cookies
    1. Open Google Chrome.
    2. Click on (3 dots) on right top corner of the browser window.
    3. In the dropdown menu that appears, select “Settings”
    4. At the bottom of the new window, click “Show advanced settings”
    5. Under the “Privacy” section, click the “Content Settings” button.
    6. In the “Content Settings” window under Cookies, select Allow local data to be set (recommended) to enable cookies or Block sites from setting any data to disable them.
    7. Click Done

Mozilla Firfox

  • View and delete cookies stored on your hard drive
    1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
    2. Click the Menu icon Firefox menu in the upper right-hand corner and select Options
    3. In the window that appears, click the Privacy tab at the top
    4. Under the History section, click remove individual cookies.
    5. Users may remove cookies one at a time or click the Remove All Cookies button
  • Disable or Enable Cookies
    1. Open Mozilla Firefox
    2. Click the Menu icon Firefox menu in the upper right-hand corner and select Options
    3. In the window that appears, click the Privacy tab at the top.
    4. In the History section, click the down arrow in the box next to Firefox will: and select Use custom settings for history.
    5. Locate the check box next to Accept cookies from sites. Check to enable and uncheck to disable cookies.
    6. Click OK
